RPM Challenge

So I'm not sure if you've heard about the RPM Challenge, but its a challenge (obviously) where you record an album of either 10 songs or 35 minutes (whichever comes first) in the month of February. The big finale? You email your album off to RPM Challenge Headquarters, and YOU'RE DONE. **cue the sighs of relief**

Some people know that I've been writing songs and doing the occasional open mic for a while now, and not to be dramatic, but I think me finding out about this was a message from the gods. You know when you talk about doing something for a long time, like "oh yeah I'll definitely clean out my closet" or "oh I'm going to start working on my website tomorrow" or plan that USA roadtrip I've been wanting to do forever or whatever. Well, I promised myself 2015 would be the year of action, so off I go. And I think this is the best challenge ever because of two things

A) No Pressure. Between talking to friends, co-workers, family and the many voices inside my head, I always came up with a reason to put it off. "This song's not done yet" "I don't like that song anymore" "I don't know where to record it" "Who will help me record it" "What if its not perfect?" "what if its terrible" "omg this sucks, everything sucks". You know, that stuff. But RPM isn't about creating THE album. Its about recording AN album. Its about working on stuff and putting stuff out there and ....

2) Just Doing It! We're doing it guys! no pressure. just tight deadlines and craftiness. You do what works best for you. Just do it. (Thanks, Nike.)

SO off I go, I'll probably post it on here when I'm all done!

Check it out for yourself
